Still shouting.
Still guilty.
Ready to stop?
I'm Nicola. Psychologist, mum of two, and someone who's been exactly where you are. This is where we work on it together - on your specific pattern, in your specific moments, with me alongside you.
You shouted. Again. You saw that look on their face. Again. And now you're replaying it - in the car, in the shower, lying awake at 1am wondering if you've already done damage.
You've read the books. You follow the accounts. You know you're supposed to stay calm, take a breath, get down to their level. And then it's 6pm and someone is screaming about nothing and all of it goes out the window.
You vow to do better. You mean it every time. And then the next hard moment comes and it happens again and the guilt piles on top of the guilt that was already there.
You're not checked out. You're not a bad parent. You love your kids more than anything. But somewhere between who you want to be and who you are at the end of a long day, something keeps going wrong.
here's the thing.
You can't bully yourself into a better place.
You've been trying to shame yourself into being better. Replaying it. Criticising yourself. Vowing to do better. Feeling terrible about it.
And it hasn't worked. Not because you're not trying hard enough. But because that's not how change works.
What does work is understanding what's actually happening - and having the right tools for the moments that push you over the edge. That's what this is for.
ready to go deeper?
This is where we work on it together.
The Shout Less Toolkit gives you the tools. This is where you use them with me alongside you - working out exactly what's happening in your specific pattern, in your specific moments, and what needs to change.
Both options are hands-on and built around your actual situation. You won't just leave with a better understanding of the problem. You'll leave with something specific to reach for the next time you feel the build-up starting.
So you catch it earlier - before it tips over, before anyone says something they didn't mean, before you're spending the rest of the day replaying it.
So you respond differently - and the moment that used to end in a blow-up ends differently instead.
So the pattern actually shifts. And when it does, something changes in the whole house.
Your kids get steadier too. The silliness comes back. The laughter. The goofiness you'd forgotten about. They want to spend time with you again - and you want to spend time with them. Connection comes back in the small moments, the ones that used to get swallowed up by the tension.
You feel like you've got a handle on it. Like you're off the treadmill. Like your family is working as a team instead of grinding through the same loop on repeat.
The home feels lighter. Warmer. Fuller.
one session
The Reset Session
One situation. One session. You bring the moment that keeps going wrong - the morning routine, the homework battle, the witching hour - and we work out exactly what's happening and what to do differently.
What's included You'll fill in a short form when you book so I can come prepared. In the session we spend the first part properly understanding the moment - what leads up to it, what's happening when it tips over, what you've already tried. The rest is practical - working through the right tools for the right points in the build-up and rehearsing what it looks like in real life, so it's not just theory when you're back in the thick of it.
What you walk away with A clear picture of what's driving your specific moment - not a generic explanation, yours. The right tool for the right point in the build-up. Something rehearsed in the session, not just discussed — so it's already familiar when you need it.

Break the Loop
This is for the parent who keeps hitting the same wall. Different day, different trigger, same explosion. Something in the pattern keeps resetting and trying harder hasn't shifted it. Whether that shows up in one situation or everywhere — if you want to understand it and change it at the root, this is where that work happens.
What's included
Eight sessions with a clear shape — but not a fixed script. Each session starts with what actually happened since the last one. What you tried. What worked. What didn't. What surprised you.
Because understanding why something played out differently in your real life, with your real kids, on a real Tuesday — that tells us more about your pattern than anything we could map out in a session.
So we keep adjusting. Different tools, different approaches, different angles — until we find what actually holds in the moments that matter. By the end you won't just have a plan. You'll have something that's already been tested in your life and proven to work in it.
What you walk away with
You'll know why. Not in a general way — in a specific, personal way. Where it came from, what keeps it running, why it shows up when it does.
You'll catch it earlier. Noticing the build-up before it tips over, in real situations, until it becomes automatic.
You'll have something that holds. Practical, specific, tested in your actual life — not just theory.

not sure?
Here's how to choose.
If you want practical tools for a specific moment quickly, the Reset Session is where to start. You'll leave with a clear picture of what's driving it and something concrete to use straight away.
If you want to understand the bigger picture - why you react the way you do, where it comes from, and how to change it at the root - Break the Loop is the deeper work. It can start from one situation or many. The difference isn't how many problems you have. It's how far you want to go.
